Blind Tasting (Sort of)

A friend recently enthused about blind tasting…how her prejudices based on price, vintage, terroir, and even varietal are swept away when she has nothing except the wine in front of her.
What if we selected a President like a blind tasting? There would be no pictures (race), no vintage (age), no terroir (where they came from) and no price (wealth). We’d have a (vertical) listing of what each candidate has said about each issue. There would no reviews (pundits), just their own words. The wine doesn’t lie.
I imagine I would learn a lot from this blind tasting…with maybe a few surprises.
Very well said. I’m working on a thing that will hopefully help folks understand the Issues, but my fear is many won’t be able to get past what they see.
