Willi’s Seafood In Healdsburg

I couldn’t love this restaurant more. Dog friendly outside on the warm and welcoming patio, with cozy booths and a long bar inside. I walked right by it before I noticed it. It’s nicely tucked off the street just a bit. The servers are down-to-earth and welcoming. The menu is mostly small plates to share (or hoard).
Here’s what we had:
- Uni & Bay Scallop Mac n’ Cheese which was like a penne cream vodka sauce. I make a mean version of pesto shrimp mac n’ cheese too.
- Fried oyster Po-Boy which was substantial.
- Baby back riblets (2-3 per person for 2).
- Carmelized salmon with miso vinaigrette & exotic mushrooms. It was delicate, soft but not tartare.
They have specialty cocktails ala The Slanted Door and a food friendly wine list that included Quivira’s Fig Tree Sauvignon Blanc. The dessert drinks are super fun. How about a Martini Dessert–Sambuca, Godiva, Vanilla Vodka & cream? Or Vanilla Vodka, Bailey’s, Chocolate & cream? The coffee is presented in an individual French press at the table which is inviting. It feels like permission to linger. It’s my favorite restaurant in Healdsburg.
