What’s in a Grape?

Oct 30th, 2009 by Alana

Grapes at Harvest

During the harvest, I love introducing people to the taste of grapes in various stages of ripening.  My guests taste raisins, perfectly round unripe grapes, and dimpled grapes. The raisins are full of sweet sugar and the dimpled ones sugary and juicy. The flavors of grapes from the vine before anything else is done to them is what makes wine interesting.
